Last two GW-A1000RAF at Casio Covent Garden London...

A friend of mine was at the Casio store at Covent Garden today and there were two more GW-A1000RAF left. One on display and one in stock.

I am glad to say that one of them is now mine! The display piece is still there for anyone who is interested. I don't know if they will be adding any more stock.

Never thought I would be able to find it in London given I had no luck at Chino - they told me it was sold out the moment I confirmed my purchased and I hesitated on Seiya too long. I thought I would get a friend to try and wow! Prayers answered! 500 quid but I'll get a small reduction on the vat claim back. This is the pic sent to me... what a tease...

Only problem is that I'll have to wait nearly a couple of weeks before it makes its way back to me... sigh...

Congratulations and how the irony I received my GW-A1000RAF yesterday morning direct from Chino, however I did place order the very second I new about the watch coming to market, so that will be at least 2 of the 2000 in Malaysia, well at least until we rotate out

I received an email from Chino at about 10am last Sunday and well... it was Sunday... I only checked my mail a little after 3 pm. Confirmed immediately but was too late already. Chino's price was the best.

If I see another RAF in the wild in KL I guess will know its probably you...

Highly likely I ordered & confirmed mine back in early March with Chino, I would imagine they would only have 2-3 at very best. The "Scalpers" have already jumped on the RAF release with prices on the "Bay" flying past four figures. I served the British military for 18 years, six of them directly with the RAF so for me the GW-A1000RAF is one of the more important releases in many a year.

Breitling have always been synonymous with limited releases for the RAF, however these are in general restricted to the aircrews/squadrons with very few numbers ever reaching the general public outside of some commemorative models commissioned by organisations. To all intents and purposes these watches albeit ordered by military personel are effectively still private transactions, with a hefty discount from Breitling. Being Ex military it never really sat very well with me to wear a watch that was specific to a particular group within the forces and not have served with them. The GW-A100RAF is a very different beast being actually officially licensed by the RAF, and it really is a watch that military personel can wear in the field. I wonder exactly how many will reach the forces, I like to think some will have been reserved by Casio for the guys...
