MTG-1500B-1A1J​F MT-G or Edifice EQW-A1110DC-1A

In terms of quality and reliability, which one is a better watch? I am torn between the two. I know the MT-G is a BIGGER watch whereas the EDIFICE is more of a dressy watch. But I also understand that the MT-G came out in 2009 while this Edifice just came out. Is the technology in the Edifice better than the MT-G?

I can't wear Edifice's because I am tough on watches. The crystals scratch easily since there is nothing around them. My MTG-1500 has been a great watch.

Just curious if the MTG has the smart access feature? wave ceptor or tough movement? I'm just thinking that the MTG is 3 years behind in technology, that the edifice will probably be a better choice.

The MTG does have Tough Mov't and waveceptor.

I'm drooling over the Edifice line almost daily but can't make up my mind if Tough Mov't makes sense in a non-shock resistant case.

Anyone have thoughts on Tough Mov't in non-shock resist cases?

No smart access and no crown, therefore the MT-G is going to be more comfortable. Plus, you do all your other functions in the digital window and can always see current time. The only reason I'd get the Edifice over the MT-G is if I really wanted an analog that could move the hour and minute hand at the same time. Otherwise, there is no question between the two. Do the "smart" thing and get the MT-G ;) You can thank me later! I sell Casio's and can tell you the MT-G easily wins.

Totally different watches, I don't see how I could be on the fence between these two... I have the MTG and quite like it, however I also have the MRG7700 and wear that one far more often.

They are but price point is very similar hence my question. Nevertheless, I've already made up my mind and actually got the Edifice EQW-T720DC-1A, the price was too good to pass up on.

Japan only model so you need to get it from one of the japan sellers
