Mudman GW-9010 "ATOMIC STEALTH" mod

i just ordered this watch on amazon.... got it two days ago, and hated the red. Well "hate" is such a strong word.... yeah i hated it! So i saw what some other members here were doing and got inspired. i liked the ring contrast color against the bezel but the red just wasn't happening for me. i really didnt want to black it out but after some contemplation i thought the black out worked best. May change the ring to silver later...

sorry... no pics while in progress. just the assembled, finished product.

So here are some pics of the "Rally" after the mod.

1. Blacked out the aluminum bezel ring. flat black spray paint. careful not to loose the double sided sticky tape on the back of the pieces.

2. used some of my wife's crazy nail polish on the g-shock letters and all the function buttons' labels. the color, "ATOMIC GREEN" is kinda greenish yellow. it looked bright green in the bottle. but these pics make it look more yellow.

3. Blacked out the white "shock resist" on the bottom. used flat black model paint.


Lets hear some feedback guys.... opinions? What do you think?

Looks really good, alot better than original, I hadn't even thought about the letters on mine, nice piece as well!! I had thought about takin a few pics of a couple of my watches with my heat, but I guess its not allowed.

Yeah I'm a noob.... I had no idea bout the weapon ban.

I saw the pics before they were removed - pity you had a gun in some of 'em. That said, the G Shock look seriously good - really nice mod & well done - also welcome to the forum :D
