    Smile My DW-5600C cleaned up

A few days ago I posted a picture of my old DW-5600, which I have had and rather ignored since I was at school. I left school in 1988 by which time I'd had it for a few months, so it's pretty old; recently it's been sitting in a drawer, with a non-original strap and a disintegrated bezel.

I was helpfully told that it was a "C" model number, so off I went to the Tiktox spares pages, and this morning the new clothes arrived. What a difference!

Many thanks to all in the G-Shock forum for inspiring me to look after it! I'm enjoying it again for the first time in years. Here are a few pics - and today I have learned that dust is the enemy of watch photography!

    A lesson for us all...

: Fifty bucks? No, no, no. This is a Rouchefoucauld. The thinnest water-resistant watch in the world. Singularly unique, sculptured in design, hand-crafted in Switzerland, and water resistant to three atmospheres. This is the sports watch of the '80s. Six thousand, nine hundred and fifty five dollars retail!
    Pawnbroker: You got a receipt?
Louis: Look, it tells time simultaneously in Monte Carlo, Beverly Hills, London, Paris, Rome, and Gstaad.
Pawnbroker: In Philadelphia, it's worth 50 bucks.

Beautiful watch...I love the old 5600C's.....my favorite model.

Question, why did you blur the serial number?

    Re: My DW-5600C cleaned up

Thanks for all the kind comments! I'm really enjoying its new lease of life.

Why did I blur the s/n? To be honest, I don't actually know! But on many photography forums, other watch forums etc., I have seen people do it. I'm not devious enough to work out what an unscrupulous person might be able do with the combination of a photo of equipment and its serial number, so I've just copied the trend to be safe. If anyone has any more ideas, I'd be happy to know!
