Traded straight up with another member for my PAG-40 Pathfinder. This is a sweet G-shock, i was a little worried about having yet another black G but i really like this model for several different reasons:
1. Lightweight! nearly the same size as a GX-56 but weighs nearly half as much. barely even notice it's on the wrist, but it's big enough to command notice.
2. first ana/digi G, and it functions really nicely. has a "speed hand" that has to be zeroed-out for the hour/minute hands to be set by, then setting your home city and time sets the hands in motion. both hour and minute hands run BACKWARDS in some cases to quickly follow your commands, which is kind of crazy to watch happen automatically.
3. the band, for my 8" wrist, has to be set at the 2nd-to-last notch, but there is an extra inch of notch-less band at the end to keep it secure in the strap-holder. there are also little ratcheted notches on the inside of the band to hold the strap-holder in place and keep it from slipping off, and they are small enough to be unnoticeable as far as comfort.
4. buttons are nice and grippy, cool texture, but still soft and easy to press.
5. watch is not actually black, but a muted, soft gray color. between the case, buttons, and all the bits on the face, there are probably ten different shades of dark/light gray used on this watch; the details are much more subtle in person, and quite classy for a huge G-Shock in my opinion.
enough jabber, on to the pics :)
