I saw one yesterday and it was very cool in person. Congrats!

Thanks for all the kind words folks! Here's a daylight shot from today ..
I will try posting more comparo shots later today.
Alright folks, here's some more comparos with the 3000. The 4000 is marginally wider, but the crystal covers more space so it wears larger. You can see the multiple time zones are outside the crystal and on the bezel, where the 3000 instead has the 10 sec markings of 10, 20, 30... So while it isn't really that much larger it appears so while wearing. It's very nice. The strap on the 4000 is also especially soft material whereas the 3000 has more a standard rubber feel. The straps are the same size but with the 4000's case being slightly larger the watch fits a little differently than the 3000. The 3000 is a perfect fit to my wrist, the 4000 is either a tad too large or too small. It's not bad, but different. So here are some more pics - the 3000 definitely stands a bit taller with the higher bezel. The 4000 still feels chunky but the 3000 is "chunkier" still...
From the side ...
Down the wrist...
From a distance ..
They are very similarly sized, but the 4000 definitely "feels" larger. Both are the same weight.
I was out and about and had a few opportunities with the Blackberry camera. While not ideal I have found it takes great wrist shots while in the "driver's seat"
The domed crystal can have a neat effect on the 3D indicators ..
Drover under a bridge - another opportunity to show off some lume ...

ACK, another favorite. Great pickup JonL. Like the wider side profile and lugs - great balance in all views. The 3K has a great dial but I always felt that it was a bit thick from the side view - still love mine but will definitely add the Neon Green 4000 down the road. The strap on the 4K looks great.
Congrats again and thank you for the RL shots!

Wow. VERY nice! Thanks so much for the detailed comparison shots of the 3000/3500/4000, Jon. I have to say that CASIO really evolved this style nicely. I'd seen a few people tend to prefer the GW-2000 to the GW-3000, but seeing the new GW-4000 I'm feeling like that would be my choice. I'm never an early adopter, so I'll be happy to wait a while before getting one (and muster up the funds). I just hope production is ample.![]()

Great looking watch JonL. You don't happen to have a list of its features do you?

As I put on my blue GW3000BD today, I realize that the time on the watch is off by +1 hr from Arizona time since you can't set DST to off for this model. I have set the city to Denver and set the day time saving to STD to correct time. But it will be off again after the atomic sync update. So I wonder if this setting has added to GW4000? I read the spec and it seems to be.
