    New GW-A1000D

So, I ordered an GW-A1000D on Saturday just before lunch from Chino Watch. The whole transaction went smoothly and my watch was sent out within 2hrs. This morning (Tuesday) I was awoken at 7:15 by the courier...not bad considering I'm in Australia and the watch came from Tokyo! This is the second time I have purchased a watch from Chino and this is the second time I have been extremely happy with the service.

I must say, I really love this GW-A1000D. Pictures really don't do this watch justice. The apparent depth of the dial is further enhanced by what appears to be a domed crystal which really makes it "pop".

Ha, Chrisek! Cannot resist? Let us know how it compares with your GW4000 laser. Visually of course. We all know the functionality is better on th GW-A1000.
I still think that the laser looks better. I also find the A1000 too big.
But I can only judge from the pics so far...

Hot damn thats a nice watch!

    Congrats!

As I'm thinking of buying an atomic watch, have you been able to sync to the atomic clocks in China/JP?

It is a large watch but wears pretty well. Here's a pic in comparison to my Seiko SRP043....not that much bigger:

Thanks! I have 6 Solar/ Atomic G's now. When the Home City is set to Sydney, the watch doesn't attempt time sync with a transmitter. I have set a couple of them to Tokyo and non have sync'd with a transmitter over night. It may be possible to occasionally get a sync depending on atmospheric conditions, but it doesn't happen all too often here!

The trouble is, it seems Casio's premium models also come with Atomic time sync. If you want that model, you may have to take the hit of not being able to take advantage of that function here in Aus. The Solar aspect works great though lol!
