Pretty things come in green boxes: Pro Trek Manaslu PRX-7000T-7JF

Finding this white box from Yokohama waiting for me at my office almost made coming back to work worth it.

It contained an emerald green box that glimmered under the fluorescent lights.

    And more glimmer within...

The PRX-7000T-7JF is unique for being an all-analog ABC offering in the Pro Trek line, with each of its four independent hands driven by its own motor so that they can perform multiple functions. It has a titanium and resin composite body with a traditional "Zaratsu" hand-polished titanium bezel, which gives it a striking mirror-like finish.

The glass is AR-coated sapphire crystal, and the bracelet is titanium, giving this sizable watch an almost weightless feel.

The Manaslu line is assembled on the PPL in Yamagata, and it shows. The dial is exquisitely textured and detailed, more so than some of the automatic analog pieces that I own costing 6-7 times as much. Makes me want to sell them all (and I just might).

I guess this means I better not break this thing.

    Thanks for looking.
"When the shadow of the sash appeared in the curtains it was between seven and eight o'clock and then I was in time again, hearing the watch. It was Grandfather's and when Father gave it to me he said I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire.... I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you might forget it now and then for a moment and not spend all your breath trying to conquer it."

Congratz for having an awesome watch. It's nice to see a watch with fourth hand. I love the color of the dial, somewhat similar to GS-1200B. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful watch! It truly puts mechanicals to shame. It's even solar/atomic, isn't it? Congratulations on the purchase!

I possibly missed the obvious, but how does it show the temperature?

Giant leap forward from my PRG270.
Especially the CNC work on case back. Agree?

Wow, nice watch!! That is a rare one to see, even on this forum. And rare in general to see an all-analog ABC watch. Great pics, I like the details visible on the dial.

    Congrats!!

Thanks Miklos. Yes it has the standard Tough Solar and MB6. In terms of reading the temp, I'm still trying to figure everything out myself but here is a description:

"To check the temperature, you would push the mode button twice from time keeping mode (or until the mode hand points to THERMO). The watch will then adjust and display the current temperature. The watch uses the hour hand to distinguish 10’s of degrees in Celsius. The minute hand will display 1’s of °C, and seconds will display 0.1’s of °C."
