    Question on GW-M5610B-1JF (Japanese Import)

Does anyone know if this model has a reverse display? Advertisements & reviews I have read thus far, are unclear.

All references make it clear it is a green tinted positive display:

Thumbs Up Re: Question on GW-M5610B-1JF (Japanese Import)

It is indeed a green positive display; However, in the right light, the digits appear to be silver reflective instead of black, just like the digits on the GW-6900B. It's a cool effect, though it does affect readability somewhat. Still one of my favorite squares.

Edit: Looks like I need to add that one and a couple others to my sig. :)

It also looks like it is glossy resin case and band instead of matte of the standard 5610.

Re: Question on GW-M5610B-1JF (Japanese Import)

Hello, G-shock newbie here. I saw this watch this morning and fell in love with it! I'm tempted to order one as I've been wanting a square G-shock for awhile and this would be my first. I would like to know how well this watch would hold up as my daily wear. Most of the 5000 series square watches I've seen have matte resin bands and this one is glossy. I don't want to drop $150 on a watch to wear everyday only to see the shine rubbing off after 6 months. Can someone who has one let me know how the band is holding up? Do you wear it often?

You are correct. There are angles or views wherein you will see the digits to be different and it appears to be some mirror like digits.

The only way to verify it if it's a negative or positive display is to activate the light. Digits on positive display remains black while digits on negative display bears the color of the light.
(Please correct me if I am wrong)
