Recomendations for a new G Shock

Hey Gang...I need your help, please. I am looking to purchase a new G Shock and I need your help. I have looked at most of the threads here on WUS, looked at reviews on line and spent a few hours on the Casio site, and now I am totally confused.

Since all of you are really the experts, what G shock would you buy? If I were spending $7,000 You know what I would get and If I were spending $2,500 you also know what I would get. But my budget is in the $500 range. I could go a little higher, but that is it.

    My requirements:

No fancy colors (all white, pink, etc)
    The three key sensors included
Preferably steel, but not a firm requirement
Preferably analog, also not a firm requirement

Other than that, I am very open. Your input is very much appreciated

    Thanks,

    Sonny

Mudmaster GWG-1000. It's not metal, but it satisfies all the other criteria.

We very much like our MTG S1000D. Granted it is a bit more than $500; and it is large. However, meets your steel/analogue preference, sincs with the atomic clock, and solar power. Very handsome piece as well.

    Our $.02.

    We trudge on.

Agree with Lee_K that the Mudmaster fits basically all of your requirements. Mine is the red version but you can easily get the -1A version, which has a black strap.

Yes, the Mudmaster would meet your requirements except for the steel part. But nearly all g-shocks with very few exceptions have at least a partially resin case.

Since you asked what g-shock we would buy -- I would buy the Mudmaster. (I now have 4 of them)

    Here's the GWG-1000-1A black version:

There's also the less expensive GWN-1000 Gulfmaster, which comes in a variety of colors and also has the ABC sensors, plus tide graph and moon age.

    * recommend that you steer clear of the GWN-Q1000 (the version 2 Gulfmaster) - many owners are reporting problems with it..

Should you wish to look into Protreks, there are options for you there also, such as the PRW-6000. (search on Ebay to see examples)

I am enjoying my PRG-510T which checks all your boxes. The solar & atomic version of this style would be PRW-5000T and PRW-5100T. For even fancier vversions check out the PRW-5000YT and PRW-5100YT. The caveat with these models is I don't think they can be had for less than $500 unless you are willing to give away atomic sync. The non atomic versions are still solar though.
