Guys,
I bought a Riseman smoky from Japan recently - The watch did not come in a tin or box... It is brand new and came in its own little plastic wallet type packaging with instructions etc, is this normal ?

I will try and upload some this weekend, the watch all looks and performs as it should, i have a standard riseman and its the same quality feel to it, if its a fake its darn good as it syncs every night as it should and everything works as per my standard riseman, just a little disappointed with the lame packaging...
did it come in a clamshell style black box with a white pillow?
No, a clear plastic affair that wasnt much bigger than the watch itself, im not sure if the seller may have put it in this to save on weight for shipping, strange me thinks, i just tried to upload pics of the watch but with no joy
email me the pics ill post them for you.

interesting... i havent heard of anything like that before but if the watch looks and feels as your other riseman id say its legit!
Thanks mike, ive emailed you.... see what you think.... it feels and looks 100%
those pics you sent are fine defiantly real send pics of the packaging tomorrow and ill post them up.
This sounds pretty strange to me... when I was in Japan last year I saw similar plastic sleeves with G-shocks inside at some discount electronics shops. They were G-shock branded sleeves but these were only for the least expensive models. So it may be legitimate packaging, but for a special edition like the Smoky Grey series that seems highly irregular. Was it advertised to have all its packaging?
