SE Asia multiband coverage

Hi forum,

I'll be in South-East Asia for 5 weeks soon (Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia). I assume wether I bring Multiband 5 or 6, coverage is presumably poor to nonexistent, judging from the coverage maps..

Anyone any personal experience?

We have reports of people syncing in Malaysia, Singapore and as far away as Australia on Japan's signals! It won't happen all the time but you never know. Even once a week is great.

Being in the countries you've mentioned you'll be a lot closer to China than Singapore to Japan, so I think you would stand a pretty good chance of picking up a signal.

So in that case I'd better bring a multiband 6 and set to china then... Alright, thanks for the advice!
