Spent entire day at Vasquez Rocks (high desert) in blazing sun & Rangeman still at medium power...

That doesn't seem right at all. Any ideas.
A man wearing a watch, outside of purely social functions (where, strictly speaking, a watch is not supposed to be worn),
makes it clear to everyone in his purview that they are in the presence of a man who considers his time something of value,
    not something to be wasted.

    Yes - here's an idea.

Check Rangeman manual, instructions E-13 and E-14. http://support.casio.com/storage/en/...009/qw3410.pdf

Manual states that it can take approx. 16 hours to go from Level 2 (Medium) to Level 1 (High) -- IN outdoor sunlight. Your watch was probably at the bottom-end of the "Medium" scale, so it will take longer to get to High.

Go out there for another day and you should be fine.

Wow. Copy a morning's hike around Vasques Rocks. It's insanely awesome out there; otherworldly (Star Trek was shot out there in the 60s).

I had that puppy laid out in a truck bed facing the sun for a couple of hours at one point. The thermometer was reading 124 degrees in direct sunlight at 10am.

I meant that exact rock formation. We were down and to the left this afternoon. It was also the exact spot for the diner scene in "Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back" about 17 years ago; a lifetime.
