    Strap Advice

Maybe someone can assist me with a question. I am cursed with small wrists (6.5") so I have to be careful when buying G-Shocks - as those who are similiarly afflicted know, it may not work out, usually due to the strap style.

Luckily, sometimes strap substitutions can be made that solve the problem (ex: a DW-5600 strap on a DW-6900) and that leads me to the question => I have bought a GW-6900 and like it a lot but, of course, the strap is a bit too "flared" for my wrist. I've tried using a DW-5600 strap, a GW-5600J strap, and the strap adapters from a G-2300B as substitutes but since I'm having trouble getting them to attach to the watch I assume they aren't compatible.

Does anyone know a good alternate strap for a GW-6900 for small wrists?

    Re: Strap Advice

Which GW-6900 is it? The black one has a different strap then the others - I think the black one wears much better as the strap tapers down at the end and is also more flexible than the strap on the yellow GW-6900. I once put adapters on a DW-6900 and it was a real hassle - I think I would never try it again as it took me forever to get the springbars to klick into place.

    cheers, Sedi

    Re: Strap Advice

Does the strap have those ridges on the bottom that make it less flexible? There was a very good DIY thread about removing those ridges on a strap to make it more flexible and hug the wrist better:
Skinny wrist strap mod - less strap gap & more flex
