There is always chatter on this forum about getting 'replacement' strap keepers. Unfortunately, Casio don't sell these separately (except in Japan?), so the most common substitute that most of us use, including me, is an 'O' ring. However, I stumbled across a supplier in New Zealand recently and decide to place an orde. The first surprising thing was that it took just 5 days door to door to the UK!
The keeper itself is made from PU, it is softer than the standard Casio resin, but firmer than many keepers you get with very cheap watches. (you know the type, you pick them up for £5 from your local market). It has a nice matt surface and as you can see from the following photos, it is also slimmer than a Casio keeper. There is not much more to say really. For the price you won't be disappointed, a pack of 4 cost $20NZ inc P&P, which for me worked out at just over £10.
By the way, they are sold in packs of 4, but I emailed prior to ask if I could 'mix' the bag with different sizes, and Don replied very quickly saying that this was not a problem. To be honest, I've now thrown out my 'O' rings as these are much better substitutes and look as if they are part of the watch! Definitely worth keeping a pack in your tool box...
I should add that the keeper in the photo is a 24mm one, which I chose for this watch as I wanted to locate it further up the strap where it widens towards the lug - that's why it may look a little large on the standard 22mm bit of the strap width.
And finally, here's the link...
