    Thinking about my third G

Hello people, advice needed, I'm thinking about possibly getting a third G-Shock and I have a few questions, I have a few models in mind, the main question is.

Is there a reason to avoid any of the following

    GD 350
    GD 400
    DW 6900

Also, is there anything to recommend one over the others or is it as simple as personal choice?

    Matt

I don't have any of those three, but I hear the most chatter about the GD-350 and the DW-6900. I have the GD-X6900, which is the bigger version of the DW. All of those will be a step up size-wise from your squares, especially the GD's. The DW-6900 will be the least chunky. In terms of features, I believe they're relatively close. I know the GD-350 has the Vibe Alarm, if that's something that interests you. The 400 might have it, too. I think it's a personal choice, honestly. The 6900 is the classic, but they're all three good options. I'll add that I do like the texture on the band of the GD-400. Reminds me of the Mudmaster band...

I'm with prdrers regarding the difference in size to your squares..I own all 3 and as stated the 6900 is closest in size.
I prefer the 350 and 400 personally as I like larger watches, the 350 has a great display both neg and positive and as mentioned the vibe alarm which is a great feature. Has a great matte feel to it also
The 400 also has a great larger display easy to read and similar functions otherwise, as stated has a great textured strap also and the bullbars fitted with...all in all will be personal choice mate imo. Have you had chance to try them on? All sit differently on wrist especially 350 with its wings...sizewise the 6900 may suit you better if smaller flatter watches are your thing? I also have the gdx6900s and they are a great fit also but obviously larger diameter

Re: Thinking about my third G

I have all three, I struggle to come away from my 5610s for everyday use, but at the weekend I usually grab my GD350. Although bulky (more so than a DW6900 or a GW-M5610) it is very comfortable and the screen is extremely legible ( I have the negative display).
You can get some extremely good deals on a GD350.

This said there is nothing against a 6900, it is a very well known G shape. My only criticism is the display - the digits for the time are a bit small compared to the rest of the watch.

All said and done it really is personal preference and which colour and strap combination you find that you like, all well and good looking at them online, but if at all possible get out and try them on, you will know fairly quickly which you want to get (first)!

The GD-350 lacks solar and atomic functions, or else I would have bought one long ago. If you are used to having these functions on the 5610, they're not available on the 350.

To be honest I'm not to worried about solar or atomic, a standard G will be accurate enough for most things and I've always got the 5610. I'm really liking the look of the 350 at the moment.

I've been eyeing the 350 myself here lately. That black one with the gold digits looks great IMO. Just wonder about the legibility.
