    Thinnest G-Shock?

    Hi guys,

With the onset of winter, I'm finding that my Gulfman is difficult to fit under a lot of sweaters/long sleeves I'm wearing. Love the watch but can't deal with the bulk during winter months.

Did some research into a thinner G-Shock but best I can come up with is the DW-9052 @ 14.7mm (not a big fan of the 5600 series styling).

So my question to you guys is EXCLUDING the Pathfinder series and only speaking of ALL DIGITAL G-Shocks, do you know which has the slimmest profile?

    Thx!,
    Tim

    Hi,
I'd say the G-7700/7710 is pretty slim ~14mm (Casio homepage says 14.6 but my ruler says it's only 14) - wears very comfortable under long sleeves.

And sometimes its not so much how thin it is but how steep the profile is. I have no problem wearing my MTG-910 with dress sleeves (although I wear cuff-links so that helps but its fine with sweaters too).

thinnest g ever would probably be the g-056 series with thickness of 11mm

i suppose 5600 and 5500 are not that thick either

I think he is right. G-056 and GW-056 are the thinnest. I don't have one, but the GW-M850 is only 13.9mm thick.

It is probably the case, though, that any 5600 watch will be thin enough to fit under most sleeves -- including dress shirt sleeves.

Yeah it's got to be the "056" ranges.

I don't own one of those but instead I wear my watch on the outside of my jacket. My friends completely laugh at me for it I must admit but it does the trick

Thx for the replies, lots of interesting G's suggested but unfortunately the styles aren't doing anything for me.

Agreed, this at least opens up some doors. Looking at my Gulfman more closely, the angular/flat edges on the sides is what is catching the sleeves. A tapered profile like the MTG-910 would go a long way towards alleviating that I'd imagine. Looks like something in the 6900 series will be joining the collection in the near future.

Thx once again guys and hope this new year brings much fortune, joy and peace your way!

    Cheers,
    Tim
