Question What's the difference between tough solar and solar?

I was browsing through Casio's G-Shocks and this came to my attention. For instance, the MTG900DA-8V is "Tough Solar" and the MTG930DA-8V is just "Solar". What's the difference between the two? Are there advantages or disadvantages?
    Cheers!

No difference. It's the same. Tough Solar is Casios name for "solar powered" for G-Shocks, rather like Apple Computers call their DVD drives "Superdrives" or something ridiculous like that.

    Thanx guys!
I thought there shouldn't be any difference, but I wanted to be sure.

Re: What's the difference between tough solar and solar?

I think the name Though Solar has something to do with the fact that solar power where considerd to be very corny and ridiculus back in the late 90's when Casio released the Raysman in 1998. Only strange people like extreme animal rights activists and vegans and "environmental goof heads" where into solar back then.

So perhaps Casio thought it to be neccessary to come up with a though brand name for it to make it "cool".

These days it is much different and solar technology are no longer frowned upon...
