Your thoughts on the 6900MS neg display

I just bought a 6900MS and wanted to know what everyone's thoughts are on the negative display of this particular model.
I'm not going to give my thoughts yet except to say that I normally don't like neg. displays due to the difficulty in reading them even in moderate light. It's my opinion you shouldn't have to look at a display more than 1 second to read the time.
I bought this model specifically b/c the display is supposed to be easier to read and I love stealthed G's.
This is a teaser as I've already modified my 6900MS and will post pics later in the week. My wife has the camera and is out of town.
So what does everyone think of the display???????????????

    I like the MS!

I know there is a lot of negative info on the display of the MS but it is a Stealth watch! I believe the backlighting color is awesome! You will want to push it all the time! I personally find it hard to read in the day but at dusk and night it is hard to see. You have to look directly at it. If you look at an angle you cannot see it. The mat color of the resin is great, overall it is a watch I will be keeping for a long time! I thought about ordering another. Hope this helps! Michael

Well our own Dougie got rid of his because it was hard to read. I had a DW5600B which is just like the MS series. I gave it to my son and can wear it if I wanted to so far I have not borrowed it back. It does look good especially with the bull bars I dont like to take more than a quick glance to see the time.

at the moment, that 6900ms is on my next month purchase,
I've already own another ms (dw-5600ms and g-9000ms),
I had to admit, yes it does hard to read at times,
but it still a cool watch :)

thinking of buying the crazy colour series too...

It may as well be a LED watch. It needs auto-EL to be a smaller PITA. As it stands, I will sell it the moment I find the time.

Re: Your thoughts on the 6900MS neg display

I had one and took it back to the store the next day for the same reasons mentioned above. The reverse lcd on that one is really lousy to be honest, even for someone with 20/20 vision.

It's watches like that one that give people the false impression that all reverse lcd's are crap, and discourages them from ever trying one again.

I remember watching Doug's video review of the 7710 before I decided to buy one, so I'm sure he knows not all reverse LCD's are lousy. But I agree with you, the 7800B is the one that can easily change people's false perceptions about all reverse LCD's having poor readability.
