    Combat 6 manual, any experiences?

Been looking to get a manual watch with a Swiss movement. Saw the Combat 6 and love the style. How much is it (in the US, cant find any pricing info). Also saw that it has a ETA 2801 instead of the usual Unitas. Which one is more robust and reliable?

I prefer the Glycines with 6497/6498 manual wind movements (although they tend to be larger, like the KMU 48). Just a personal feeling, but I think it's more robust (having studied and compared it to the 2801) and more of a "classic" hand-wind movement, derived from stopwatches.

Note that the 2801 comes in two flavors -- one with hacking and one without. The hacking "hammer" device can be added to a non-hacking 2801, but it's a bit of a complicated procedure; something a watchmaker would have to do (more or less).

Glycine made the 1914 Bienne with both the hacking and non-hacking 2801 and I've owned both.

The Combat 6 has a 2801 but I'd check to make sure it's the hacking version, as the non-hacking 2801 I have in a Bienne 1914 is kind of a pain, very difficult to set it to an exact time as it doesn't do the "poor man's hack" either.

Too many watches, only two wrists and never enough time...

I took the plunge and got one from a private seller on WUS.
