    Glycine Airman double (24 09)

My AD has just received a glycine airman double (the one with the yellow numbers on the dial). Its limited to 300 pieces and is a purist model. The watch has 3 crowns and I did play around a little with it. The crown at 2 o'clock moves the inner 24hr chapter ring, the one at 3 o'clock moves all 3 hour hands simontaniasly and the date. The 5 o'clock crown seems to do nothing and I couldn't figure out how to move the gmt hands seperately. I couldn't find anything online, anyone?

the crown at 5 locks the bezel.
the gmt hand is a hand with an extension
    to the opposite hour.

it's the most powerful airman I ever saw.

Thanks, does that mean that I can only adjust 2 of the hour hands? That doesn't make sense since one of the hands would always be 12 hours behind the other.

there are only 2 x 24 hour hands.

    one "normal" 24 hour hand
    one extended 24 hour hand

on one site of this extended hand the red arrow
at the opposite site a yellow arrow
by adjusting the inner black bezel with the 2 o' clock crown
you can set this red arrow on a timezone
the yellow arrow gives the second timezone on the yellow scale.
the normal scale home time (3th timezone)
which leaves you the outer bezel to set the forth time.

Ok, I think I get it now. There are a total of three hands. The primary hand can be moved alone, the second hand can also be adjusted but the third hand (that's basically attached to it) moves with it. That third hand is used by moving the inner bezel accordingally. Makes sense but couldn't I just use the inner bezel with the primary hand (like I do with the outer bezel)?

Thanks a lot for the info buddy! Btw, its been offered to me by a local AD BNIB for under 2000$, should I jump on it? I've been saving up for a bell & ross vintage 123, but this is almost in the same price range and seems like a better bargain. I tried it on and it's a whole lota watch! :) I'm just not sure how fast it would take me to adjust to the 24hr "purist" hands. I want to know what time it is by just glancing at the watch. I'm also worried this would ruin me for regular watches. :)

    What do you guys think?

The price looks alright to me
i believe the official retail price is some $2900

If you are not into purist 24 hour watches
I would recommend not to buy this watch

    It has a 2424/ETA 2893-2 automatic

converting, if possible, would be a wast of this excellent and extraordinary movement.

Buying an Airman will ruin you for other watches, in that you won't want to wear a 12 hour watch again
Keep the RPMs in the green
