    vintage Glycine Airman

    Hello ,

My biggest question about this watch is how to take
the back off ? Screw it or pop it off ?I think this is a 1960 model.
    If's it screw ,will I need a tool ?
Thanks in advance for any info you might share about this watch.

    Hi.

You'll probably find a lot more info/help in the Glycine forum.
You might also be better off taking it to a watch store for repair to be on the safe side.
Sorry, I'm no watch specialist, but I love Glycine Airman watches.

That appears to be a snap on caseback, removable with a caseknife.

    Thanks for the reply's .
I'm hoping to get this opened myself .

I don't want to pry it off , IF it should be screwed off .
    Anyone know ?
Would this have a rubber seal ring ?

Thanks again for your help .

this has a rubber seal in the inside and it is not a screw back so you can easily open it with a sharp blade. i have this same airman and did it myself as well.

Your watch has 23 jewels. If it were an Airman Special it would have 17 jewels. The serial number is on the case back, not inside. The case back pops
off as stated by previous responders, The concentric semi-circles is the area to pry. Don't be shy.
