Slick or pure sacrilege? Bamford Watch Department‘s latest collaborative effort has teamed a Rolex watch with the world renowned cartoon character Snoopy to create a watch designed by women’s fashion designer Rodnik Band. The irreverent take on the Charles Schultz classic features Snoopy on the dial in two different finishes. The MGTC Black and MGTC Light Grey options both provide a contrasting finish to the sunglass-clad Snoopy. Each of the watches in either black or grey will be limited to only 25 pieces and available through Bamford Watch Department.
BWD has developed a reputation over the years for customizing high end watches independently of the various watch brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet TAG Heuer and others. Once BWD get to work on the watch the original brand’s warranty is no longer applicable, but the company cover all their work with a two year guarantee.
It’s not the first time that cartoon characters on the dial of a Rolex have been released by the company. Popeye, Brutus and Beetle Bailey have also found themselves as the unlikely hour and minutes hands of Rolex watches. No word on price for the Snoopy Rolex Datejust, but of course, it won’t be peanuts.
