Changing The Date On My New Omega (Advice required)

Hi there i am aware that this may be a bit of an obvious question but this is my first "real" watch if you will and i don't want to break it.

I read on the omega website that you should avoid changing the date between the hours of 8pm and 2am, since this is the period during which the automatic date-change is in operation.

I was just wondering if i did want to change the date between this time period if i was to set the watch manually to about 6pm and then change the date and then set the watch back to the correct time would this still damage the watch or would i be safe to use this technique.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes that would be perfectly safe.
