Chopard Automatic - Does anyone know it?

    Dear Members,

I have been searching all over the internet to try to identify the watch below (see picture). I am interested to know some more information about it, including it's current value.

    Thank you very much,

Chopard is a French jeweler that started out as a watch maker in the 1860s...They are known today more for their jewelry and their"Happy diamond " line of watches and jerwelry...About 10 years ago they had alot of write ups in trade magizines because they once again wanted to be taken more seriously in the watch trade by once again making their own speciality movements for their watches.I would go to www.chopard.com and find e-mail them with a pic and numbers from your watch or go to a retail jeweler that carrys chopard and ask them to help you with an appraisal of the piece. The retails are high on Chopard jewelry and watches ,but the resale on their watches are disapointing.

Well, I'd say Chopard was a french jeweler. Now (since 1963) the brand Chopard is owned by the Scheufele (Karl and Karin Scheufele) family, most of the time living in Pforzheim/Germany.

Chopard supplies watches, jewlery and accessoires in the high-price-segment, they also run Chopard-boutiques worldwide. They worldwide employ about 1000 employees.

Chopard produces jewlery in Pforzheim, some place in Bavaria I can't remember right now, and in Meyrin which is close to Geneve.

The L.U.C. movements are worth to be inspected closely.

Can't say what movement gives power to the watch shown but I am sure a mail to Chopard will help. It may take some time but I am sure they will be pleased to assist to find out what movement is in.
Nevertheless a good (close up) pic of the movement could help here too.
