Denver area WIS GTG report and PICS!!

So last week, I drop in over here at the public forum to post up and see if anyone in the Denver area wants to get together. Well, as luck would have it there was already one in the works. I got an open welcome from Willith, and made the date.

This was my 2 meet ever, and first one in Denver so everyone was new to me. Lots of names for me to familiarize with, and TONS of watches. Kind of overwhelming for a newbie.

We met at a local Mexican restaurant where we had a nice room to ourselves, and plenty of watch drooling and passing around to ensue. There were so many incredible time pieces I could have spent days taking pictures and my abilities hardly do any of these justice.

Thanks Willith for arranging this, it was great! And everyone there was a joy to talk with. Lets keep the Colorado ball rolling for the future.

    HERE is my flickr set

Here are some of the beauties!

    Thanks again Willith,
I found out I could make it down last minute and had a ball. Well actually not a Ball but Sinn, Omega SMP, Panerai, Doxa, JLC, Longines, and so much more. Great group of guys (and gal). For my first WIS GTG not a bad start at all!
Thanks for making an "affordables" guy feel so welcome.

Thumbs Up Re: Denver area WIS GTG report and PICS!!

It was great to meet you all and I'm glad we had such a great turnout. I think we'll have to do this again. I'm guessing maybe we had over 50 watches and I think Fred had 40 of them piled in front of him at one point. I do fear that maybe a few were bit by the WIS bug and I have a feeling that there will be a Sinn U2, Panerai and Doxa purchased in the very near future for a few there. Here's some pictures I took, not as good of pictures as Brad, but they will have to do.

    Cheers,
    Rob

I'm jealous! Be fun to see that many sweet watches in one place. Ultimate window shopping.

    Yep ...

As said, lots of great watches and even nicer people !! Rob (Willith) did a great job of pulling everything together making our 1st Denver WIS GTG possible. I think keeping it non-brand specific was a smart move as I certainly saw makes I hadn't seen before that were very interesting.

Thanks for all who attended and Steve/Kathy, thank you both for your service.

    Regards From Colorado Springs,

    Tony
