Eberhard & Co. - Your thoughts?

I'm hoping some of you can give me an opinion on Eberhard & Co.

I've done some research, and it looks like they've been around a long time. I'm not sure if it's continued as the same company, or if it's been sold numerous times.

Their watches are discussed very little here on the forum, or on the internet in general. I have noticed their prices seem way overinflated, and discounts are huge.

I personally like watches that are unique looking, so a couple of their models caught my eye.

I'm just curious if it's the brand, the look of the watches, or both that seem to make them unpopular.

    Any input is appreciated.

Used to own the Traversetolo for some years. Excellent quality, excellent performance, well known in Italy, not that common in Asia and the US.

Used to sell them, my #1 favorite was the Boucanier Grande Date. One of the very few chronos I
liked, the Tazio Nuvolari, the Chrono 4, interesting, but I didn't like it. They make real replicas (homage) and have nitch to themselves as to style. There're big problems, name recognition with
relation to price. "Are they German", was the usual response when first viewed. Had them in my former
store for about 4 months, they bombed and were pulled. There're back in the US again for another
run, I hope they make it this time. The last time I was in Kenjo in NYC, they had a whole case of NOS
of them. Last I heard they were #2 in Italy behind B & M.

The old chronographs Extra Forts all are eye catcher, those new Chrono 4 (round as well as Tonneau) aren't my cup of tea.

Interesting. I like unique watches and lesser known brands. Good to know the quality is there.

I was actually looking at the Chrono 4 Temerario. A lot of people don't like it, but I think it's unique.

It's been knocked off by Sturling, the standard one.

Eberhard makes a nice watch, not as famous as other brands, but high quality.
I have the 8 jours model which is a throwback to old school watches. I find it to be very nice.
