    Lightbulb A Grateful WIS

Please forgive me as I mount my soapbox briefly, but I just want to express gratitude for the ability to pursue this hobby.

Though most of us probably don't know many people who couldn't collect watches if they really wanted to, those folks are certainly out there. Those of us with the means (disposable income and time) to pursue our WIS indulgences should be thankful for what we have, because we are very fortunate!

Whether you collect Rolex, Timex, or anything in between, everyone reading (and writing) this has been blessed with one or both of these things:

    1) You have been given watches or the money to buy them.
    2) You have been given the ability to work hard and EARN the money it takes to acquire your watches.

Either way, we've all been given a gift, and I think Easter is as good a time as any for me to recognize my blessings and say I'M GRATEFUL.

Am I the only one who feels this way? I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

I'm grateful, too, but would be even more grateful if someone would point me (a rank noob, I admit it) to a glossary of terms like "WIS"...

The glossary at TimeZone has a lot of this. WIS is not included, WIS = watch idiot savant. I am blessed, not sure with what.

Not sure what the Easter holliday thing has to do with being grateful, money, health etc etc.
Sorry, just being stupid, not wanting a fight.

I make sure I take the time daily to appreciate my pieces [usually while winding the mechanicals and autos...and to always remember the situation I got them in. Each one has a story about either its acquisition or something that happened while wearing it.
    Cheers!
