Hey Falcon, thanks for providing that link eh. I was shocked to discover that I've been pronouncing Rolex and Rado wrong for years.

Heh, I've been to that page before but never noticed those entries. Are they just having fun with the names they figure everyone should be able to pronounce anyway?

Oh that sucks....all those years I pissed off my friends by answering "2824" when they asked "hey, what's your E.T.A.?" and it was based on ignorance

Re: How do you say ETA?

Here at the law school, all the watch collectors say E-T-A. When I'm at dealers, etc, they all call it Ettah. But I grew up calling it E-T-A and that's a hard habit to get out of.

I agree with Raza on this, at any rate. They write it specifically to be pronounced E-T-A. It'd be like me naming my company Codex, but requiring you to pronounce it M-R-D.

Re: How do you say ETA?

I used to say E-T-A until I was otherwise corrected by a Hamilton enthusiast followed by an Omega Boutique salesman. Eh-ta, it is. Yet, I'm still ignorant of manufacture pronunciation... someday, I'll know how to pronounce every single manufacture/part/horology name/term so I can argue them an a future thread addressing pronunciation.

One thing I noticed about that site is that they have the pronunciation of Jaeger LeCoultre drastically different from WatchTime's Speakeasy feature's pronunciation.
