Lightbulb Introducing McGonigle Watches ** UPDATE ** >>>

    McGonigle Watches
Ireland is not a country that springs to mind when one thinks of bespoke complicated watches, until now. This year has seen the delivery of the first wristwatch tourbillons made by independent watchmakers and brothers, John and Stephen McGonigle. These are the first complicated watches ever to have been made in Ireland.
“Their collaboration has yielded an exceptionally beautiful tourbillon expressing the virtues of elegant simplicity and artisan craftsmanship.”
    Revolution Magazine
The McGonigle tourbillon has already been recognized to have attained a level of quality of construction, design and hand finishing comparable with the very highest of Swiss standards.
“The watch has a strong identity, but with a clean, coherent and contemporary design.”
    QP Magazine

    W O N D E R F U L !!!!!!!!!!!! B-)

    Congratulation to Mc Gonigle.
Unfortunately many valued things are expensive too, as tourbillon watches.
But such an art would worth the price tag.

Any idea about the ebauche they're using???

    Thanks for sharing, Ernie.

re-engineered version of a Christophe Claret movement (from e-mail from
John McGonigle) You may want to get a 2nd mortgage on your house if you plan to wear one of these. Beautiful watch though.

    Hi -

Mortage your kids, they'll just spend all of your money when you're dead and gone anyway...

I've read of the two before, their use of Celtic imagery in their engravings make their watches really unique. But the prices are a *tad* out of my ballpark.

For the record: I live in Germany where there actually no ballparks, so now you know my ballpark...

    ** UPDATE **
Dear all, thanks for this many hits and your replies. Here's why I am posting an update: The owner is willing to do an interview and I thought it would be a good idea to make a "member's list of questions" !

Feel free to post your questions in this thread for McConigle and I will do the interview in name of you all very soon!
