IWC Vs. TAG Vs. OMEGA Vs. ORIS

I know watches are personal things and it should be my choice and all that but I want your opinion!

    * TAG HEUER CARRERA ($1200)
    * OMEGA AQUA TERRA (the 8500 movement)
    * IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XVI ($4000 with metal bracelet which is $1200 more then the strap)

Just thought I would attach the prices I was able to haggle for all are metal bands.

For me I need a watch to ware with a suit but also casually. While I don't mind spending the extra money for a watch I can pass down to my kids, I am not sure if I want to hehe.

Few things about me: I'm 20, this is my first watch, in business, working at a brokerage firm.

*** I removed the Oris because I am sure that that one is not for me. I also changed the picture to the proper AT I am interested in, sorry about the confusion.***

This is your first watch, right? I wouldn't spend fat cash for that IWC when similarly styled watches exist for a fraction of the cost (not knocking on the quality of the IWC, of course). Personally I'd vote for the Omega as I think it is the nicest of the bunch, it is sporty but dressy, and it is youthful. It also will probably hold its value fairly well so you can always flip it if you get that itch. The Tag would get my second vote.

You've listed the Omega Railmaster (no date), you can also consider the Seamaster AT (with date). Here's my Omega Seamaster AT -

The Zenith Elite/Captain Elite is also a good choice I feel ... here's mine -

    The tasty movement

Here's both of them together -

I believe you can't go wrong with an IWC Pilot Mark XV/XVI (also consider the Spitfire), either.

Also consider the Zenith Captain Elite (Ref. 03.2020.670/21.M2020). It is available with Topper Jewelers who are a forum sponsor (and Zenith AD) -

I can see you love Zenith, and I can see why they are amazing both inside and out. They are really close I think in quality and style to the IWC. So, the way I see it if I decide to go with the IWC over the TAG I them have another choice b/w that and the Zenith.

So much to consider and choose from. I need you guys, keep those votes and opinions coming!

A lot of the watches that Seiko sends to the West are garish and tacky, but you can buy an astonishing amount of very tasteful watch from one of the specialist Internet sellers in Japan. E.g.

All of the watches on this page should be of the same quality as the ones you are considering, and prices are between $400 and $600:

I know, I just need a bit of that snob value that comes with the Swiss!

It's all tied up, this is getting interesting...

To muddy the waters and confuse you just a little more, here are some other suggestions -
    1. IWC Ingenieur IW3227 (discontinued but available NOS in some places):

    2. Girard-Perregaux Classic Elegance ref. 49570 (discontinued, a bit tougher to find):

    3. Omega Seamaster AT (cal. 8500):

Images aren't mine. I didn't think much of the GP till I actually saw, held and tried it on ... just an amazing watch.

Then it's an easy decision: get the Omega or the Tag - far more people will recognize the brand.

But the people who know watches know IWC. This is really not a major factor in my decision so don't put to much emphasis on that.

By the way do you guys know if there are any reviews of these watches somewhere on this forum?

Keep those votes and ideas coming!

ps V76 thanks for the new ideas, you are a big part of my quest for my first watch.
