Kids nowadays can't read analog clocks...

Wow. I had this experience few days ago when I showed my Laco on my wrist to a young female and she just stared at it for good 5 seconds and she still wasn't sure what the time was.

That doesn´t surprise me much... and in fact it doesn´t even shock me! For the past.. 5? 10? years reading an analog clock is definitely not essential to know the time.

My son says the same thing. He was going to do a community project teaching his peers how to read analog.

How young? Because if it's a baby, that's understandable.

I don't understand. All clocks in public and most watches are analog. Almost all wall clocks sold for the home, except alarms, are analog. You'd think the first time someone ran into one and couldn't read it, they could pull out their cell phone and figure it out.

Is your Laco difficult to read?

She's 21. I showed it to her 2 separate times during the day and she took very very hard looks at it both times.

Is this hard to read? It's even got numbers printed on it!!! Perhaps the triangle on 12 o'clock confused her?

I don't know. Might be too high-contrast and too large to be easily read

If she's 21, then she's been through years of school with analog clocks on the wall, and that's where she'd look many times per day, wondering how many more minutes until she gets out of class.

    This does not make sense.

I'm having a hard time believing this. Almost all clocks in public are analog (and classrooms too obviously. I'm sure most kids look more at the clock to see when class ends then the blackboard!).
