Here is my beater I just was given, cracked crystal and glued on case back and all lol. At least it was free.

I wonder for some time what word "beater" means in whatch context.

Is it
1) a watch that you wear often, in non-formal environment and you do not particularly care about damaging it (that's what I thought);
2) a watch that you wear only during activities where the watch most likely will be scratched/damaged;
3) already damaged watch (your case).
