Very cool. I like the "industrial" look of the watch, versus some of the ornate, engraved skeletons out there. Nicely done.

Excellent work, now for #2.

I am very glad to read your comments. It was my aim to make a to-the-point skeleton with minimum distractions. I wanted this watch to be about the movement & its inner workings.

Are you planning to sell/market these or is it just a personal project?

By the Way Impressive is an understatement when refering to the work you did and the looks of your watch....

Thank you gentlemen. This one took a long time but I should be able to make one a month now. I have got five Molnija 3603s, will make more if I find more movements.
At the same time I will start design work on No.2, which will be based on the ETA 6497-8.

    Kind regards

Re: My Hand made skeleton wristwatch

    Hello Aditya,

You made a WONDERFUL watch! As others have stated, the 'tool', 'mechanical' character of the watch sets it apart from other skeleton watches.

If you are ever going to really produce these watches, I am really interested in buying one.

These are watches for men, I would say. It is a masculine watch, not in the usual "cheap" way of just making it big, heavy and black, but in the sense that it has a technical beauty of it's own. Refined, yet masculine

If I would not know better I would say the watch comes from Germany, with its machinary and engineering background, a country where understated, 'form follows function' design is important.

I used to think of India as a country that prefers more 'baroque' design, with much embellishments, colours and so on....

    Like this:

But on the other hand, India is also known for its software industry and mathematicians, which require very strict, formal thinking. Well,,, gues I don't know nothing about India. But again: great watch!

Very nice watch! And I think it's great that you quit your job to do what you truly like.

Very nice!! Depending on case size and price I would be very interested in one of these watches! And considering the fact that I'm not the only one who stated this, I think you might have come up with something potentially succesfull
