Need help finding a watch similar to this modded SKX007.

Hi all, new member here, and I am looking for some help. I am looking for a watch that is of similar style to Marin's modded SKX007 ( click ). I know that I could buy the exact watch from Noah, but at $295 it is outside of my price range. The new watch would also be wearing a nato strap.

    Thanks.

Welcome to Watchuseek. Look for a matching Seiko 5

You should consider to re-post on our forum "Affordables".

PM the owner and ask him where he got that watch!!! It might be a common type of mod that can be bought easily....Although I must admit I haven't seen too many of them in PVD????

He got it here. Is the PVD something that could be easily done at a later date? I suppose I could just buy a SKX007 and add the mods later.

    Hi!

I can defintely recommend getting an SKX, the quality is just unbelievable. I have the PVD one, but I wear my unmodded SKX007 on an Oyster bracelet more often. When I'm not wearing my 6309 that is...

If you want a similar look, you can get a PVD submariner "homage" off ebay. There's a "company" called AMI that does them for cheap I think. They have Chinese movements that are suprisingly tough and accurate (not Seiko level of course).

Get one of those, put in on a tan Nato, and there you have the same look for about a 100 bucks. The downside is that the Submariner is a small watch by todays standards, at least when compared to an SKX, and that these homages are borderline fakes.

Or check out watchesu571 on ebay, he has black divers.

The alternative is to get something like the 5 diver above, or just get a regular SKX with a few straps, which is what I'd recommend.

    Hope this helps...

    Have fun!
