Random watch photos from trip to Tokyo

Was going through my photos from a recent short trip to Tokyo and thought I'd share the watch related ones.

Cool. Can't wait to hit Japan on vacation. Come back with a GS on each wrist.

Hate-on troll. You didn't earn my money. Mind your own business you incredibly smug, supercilious, inverted snob.

Very cool. Was planning a trip to Japan in April, putting it off a year. Any Seiko, or just Japan tips appreciated :)

Learn some Japanese, at least the basics as very few people speak english.
And I suggest studying the subway system before you go. They subway system over there is pretty great, but also very confusing if you're unfamiliar.
I went during new years, but I wouldn't recommend it. A lot of the city shuts down during that time and most of the stuff we wanted to do wasn't available.

Started the Pimsleur series. With a year delay might be able to struggle through :)

    1. Rent a mobile wifi. Many company to choose from. I rented the 75Mb from Rent iPhone, Cell / Mobile Phone & Mobile Data Card in Japan:: Global Advanced Communications, fully charged the battery can last up to 10hr. Allowing you to use your own smart phone. Language barrier no problem Google is your best friend.
    2. You can plan your trip and find out which train/bus to take using Google. Alternatively Hyperdia
    3. Tokyo and Kyoto train station are foodie haven
    4. If you plan to travel all over Japan look into a Japan Rail Pass. Get a Pasmo in Tokyo, save you the trouble of trying to figure out how the ticket bending machine works. I was able to use Pasmo card in other major city but I think it needs a reset by a ticket officer every time you use in a different city.
    5. Plan to have at least one meal of Tempura at Tunahachi in Shinjiku (their tempura egg yoke is to die for), Tonkatsu at Maisen, srchen.jp for lunch (skip the dim sum appetizer) and Wagyu BBQ .. yum
    6. Spend at least half day at the basement food hall of the big department stores
    7. Traditional Wagashi shops & Sukiyaki Iroha in Kyoto
    8. If you travel on Shinkansen try the Eikiben
    9. If you go to the Jigokudani monkey park, stay overnight at the Senjukaku. The hotel offers free pick up and drop off at train station. The small van comes by when the train arrives just show the driver the reservation otherwise a cab ride will cost you a lot of money.
    10. Line up at the Tokyo Sky Tree is ridiculous.
    11. Toshogu Shrine in Nikko is well worth a visit
    12. Gore-tex is a must and make sure the shoes & pants are water proof too.
