Most of my collection is made up of affordables. I've been saving up lately and selling off a few watches to set aside some funds for a higher end piece and I'm seriously considering the Omega Seamaster. I have about half of what I need saved up right now but most likely will have the rest of the funds within the next few months.
I've always loved the Seamaster ever since I was a little kid who saw James Bond wearing it. Now that im a little older, in college, and into watches I still love its looks and the quality that it comes with. The new update to the series with the addition of applied indices, the co-axial movt, etc, has made me drool even more.
Now my question to those that own one from someone who mostly has dealt with affordables: Is there anything about it that you didn't like after you bought it? Is there any reason I should not buy one or consider another brand in the same price range (Purely considering quality/longevity not just looks)? I know quite a bit about Omega and various other high end brands but I'm only a college student right now so I don't yet have the luxury of past experience, which to me seems like the best source for advice. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
