Is there any better watch than the Orange Monster for value?

$200 for an amazing watch and an equally amazing bracelet. Could there be a better deal?

Well its all relative isn't it ? I had an OM and liked it a lot - then I bought an SBDX001 MarineMaster 300m which to me represented outstanding value but at a different price point. Never wore the OM again and sold it; the two are not really comparable in terms of 'value'.

Best value is in the eye of the beholder. I'd rate a Glashütte Original an excellent watch for what you pay as well. All relative.

It is an amazing value. I think an Orient Ray for ~$100 new is a better value per dollar, but both are great watches.

That Orange Monster is becomming an icon amongst a large portion of collectors. I don't have one, but i love the look. Hamiltons, Fortis, alpina, benarus, ball are a few of the brands that are simply stolen off the sales forums on occasion with some of the sale prices.

That is a large overstatement to say the least. To say a large portion of collectors have an OM is ridiculous. Is it popular, yes, so is a Rolex Sub or a G Shock, but I would not jump to say the majority (same as large) own one of these. Silly...

It is a nice watch, but the terms value and better are subjective.

not sure i agree with you here nasty1.....imo a large portion is pretty vague statement that bears very little correlation with an absolute(read percentage)

I understand your point, two ways of reading ultimately. When I think of large portion of collectors as stated in that particular sentences I read as more do than do not.
In fact on the G Shock forum a newbie apologized for not buying a G and got a Monster because he read a similar statement. He actually refers to it is a good starter because he read most collectors have in there collection.
So I figured I would include my thoughts
That said, it is a good value and certainly has its place amongst people's collection or only watch for that matter.
