There are WIS in the smallest town….. (lot of pics)

    ....at least in Germany……

I had to undergo a stationary rehab for 4 weeks and found accommodation in Bad Griesbach-Therme a very small village nestled in the rolling countryside, just on the outskirts of Bad Griesbach, close to the Austrian border, in a sophisticated 5-star wellness hotel/clinic with excellent health services. The clinic is also the Bavarian Olympic base camp.

Their professional physiotherapy services are best known by golfers and soccer players nationally and internationally. Met Jakub Blaszczykowski (was wearing an AP) over there who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund and of course in the national team of Poland.

I would never ever have thought to meet people sharing my interest in watches but I stand corrected.

When strolling through this little town....

a small shop awakened my interest – Galerie Zeitlos – Gemälde-Uhren-Antikes.

It didn’t take long and Thomas who is running the incorporated Vintage Watch Company and I talked watches. It did not take long and I got my camera out of the rucksack and Thomas showed me some of the watches he is selling and some watches he owns.

    So let’s have a look:

Enebbi IX Reggimento Colmoschin, a watch I have never ever seen before in the flesh….hefty I have to admit.

    Bell & Ross BR 01-94

    Graham Chrono GMT Flyback

Paul Picot Uhr Le Plongeur C-Type

Rodolphe Instinct Chronograph 180 (was Watch of the Year, Geneva)

    Some Rolex

Custom Baude Flieger Watch (containing a vintage JLC chronometer movement), a 60mm beast

    Steinhart Ocean 1 Vintage

    H-D-V (15 jewels, hw, 1950s-1960s)

    Laco Dienstuhr on original strap

    Out of his collection

Bronze Panerai ( a very rare timepiece I learned)

Zenith Flieger Typ 20 (No. 165/250)

Did I add something to my collection ? Yes I did, a limited Gevril 5009A Avenue of Americas

If you ever make it to Griesbach this shop is def. worth a visit: Vintage Watch Company, Am Kurplatz 7, 94086 Bad Griesbach-Therme (Home - Online-Shop der Galerie Zeitlos). They are also specialized in Russian paintings.

Stick to watches and leave that wretched game alone.
The weather was warm enough to practice yesterday; I think I hit too many balls on the range. I'm in agony now...

Get some rest and convalesce Mike!
Enjoying a life far better than I deserve...
