    Watches with reverse movement?

    Hi everyone,

So I've been kind of looking for a watch with a reverse movement. I can't understand why there are none out there - it seems like a neat complication to have - and considering how many bizarre complications exist, it would appear to be logical that this should, as well.

As it stands, all I was able to find was a Frankensteined Russian Poljot on eBay with a reverse gear machined in, an array of Disney Goofy watches, and the Azimuth "Back in Time" which I absolutely ADORE but can't find anywhere for the life of me - doesn't help that there are only a couple of hundred made, and I am far from Singapore.

    [edit] like this: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4043/...9ae0768d_o.jpg

Do I have any other choices?

    Thanks,

    -s

There're just not many people who read the time by using a mirror. Then again,
there're a lot of bass ackward people out there.

Years ago, I used to frequent a now-defunct dive bar in Chinatown (Los Angeles) named Yee Mee Loo. Yep, they had a clock that ran backwards, with a lay-out to match. So, it would be no surprise to see a bass-ackward quartz watch.

Well, it's a question of uniqueness. It's not that hard to read an anti-clockwise watch without a mirror if you're used to it.

Hell, RJ made a day/night tourbillon which doesn't even SHOW time. So this here would be infinitely more useful, in a manner of thinking :)

Looked him up, looks like "loyswatch"... only seems to be selling identical Seiko Divers in different colours. I'll keep an eye on him, though, thanks!

Try sending him a message through ebay, I'm about 95% certain it was Loyswatch that had them. He might make one for you if you ask him, he does a bunch of custom watches for people.

    I also have a goofy.

As far as a practical use for one, I saw a backwards clock in a barber shop once so that it would look "normal" when a customer looked at the clock reflected in the mirror.

If too many watches that run backward exist it will mess with the space time continuem.
