In fairness though, it was the coveted blue hand/marker edition which fetch a lot more than the ordinary plane jane models.

When the prices are more reasonable I'd love to add an AT2500 too. As awesome as the 8500 is, it shouldn't overshadow the 2500 as much as it does...a lot of people seem to completely dismiss Omegas with the 2500 now...but those were quite good movements compared to similar money.

My point of view on the 2500 / 8500 comparison is that they are like Tudor vs Rolex, one might be better than the other at some technical / conceptual levels but at the end you always get a good timepiece.

Pro glamor shot versus underexposed wrist shot? It should win that photo fight handily. I'm no pro, but I can give you a better look at the AT:

Much as I like the Ball, I find the Day / Date combo tends to dominate this dial and pull the eye away from viewing a cohesive whole. I would look better with the date only, IMO.

Lol I actually like my casual wrist shot.

But I have played with them both in real life, and the Ball was very impressive.

Here are some of my better AT shots:

This one is really why I went AT instead of some other good options though:

    Dead sexy right there.
Glad you liked my photo, but in the future, at least try and make mention of the photographer/owner of shots you use. Thx.

There are some nice suggestions here, but may I add Sinn 556 into the mix?

I will endeavor never to reference you again, photographically or otherwise. Post edited to reflect your wishes.

As an aside, anyone may use my photos at any time for any (non fraudulent) reason without my permission or without crediting me. This is convenient since google images doesn't show the creator of images.

Here's an interesting Orient (that I own) that fits a similar style in my mind. Adds a power reserve too...

Pretty sure once you post a picture in a public internet forum such permission is implicit, so long as you're not profitting in anyway from the said picture.

Some people are a little too sensitive.

Did I say that? I think you're being quite immature about this. This is what I wrote:

Yes, I fully understand. But it's also good form to try and make the connection. It's just good manners. Nothing bad ever happened from extending what amounts to a "thank you."

I don't believe I'm the one who is being too sensitive here....
