Why do you view a members profile

Ive noticed that recently noticed that people have been looking at my profile and was curious why. Sometimes I click on a profile by accident while trying to read a post or when doing a deal with a member. Why do you look at profiles.

I usually check a members profile if I am purchasing an item or need to PM the member.

    Maybe it's your profile pic?

Maybe it's a late night for a member after a few drinks where they got a good buzz working, they log on here, see your profile pic, get the munchies for a "whopper" or "rodeo burger" w/ a side order of onion rings, and click on your profile, to see if there is a window to place an order. That's what happens sometimes when alcohol affects the brain and triggers hunger.

Or maybe it's "Spiderman Syndrome" where everyone is hoping to see who's behind that mask.

I'm very bad for fat-fingering on my iPhone. I'll often accidently pull up a member's profile when trying to open a thread.

Sometimes I'll pull up a member's profile to see what they do or where they live, especially if they're asking a question where location might affect the answer (about ADs or watchmakers for instance).

Yep, sometimes I click "wrong". But as was stated, if I'm thinking of buying a watch from someone I do a little checking. Also, some folks do some nice write ups on fixes, modifications, and reviews so I'll search their posts to find more.

    1. To find out a sellers/buyers reputation.

    2. To find additional posts of a buyer with more experience on subject matter or watches that interest you.

    3. Accidents. Fat fingering on i-phone happens often!

    :thanks
