    Wife watchblocks me...

    ...my work gave out our holiday gifts today which I received advanced word on what the gift was (a bike) and knew I didnt need it (already having two bikes in my garage) and planned on tossing it up on craigs or the bay for sale to further fund my watch buying efforts.

    Then I come home and the wife takes one look at the picture and decides she wants it to replace her old bike... and the look on her face when I explained the above didnt help my case.

    sigh & end my venting.

    Alt 1: Do a Lysistrata.

    Alt 2: Tell her your WUS pals recommend a watch for your X-mas.

    Tell her the bike was a gift to you and if she gets it then that would be regifting which is wrong.

    If that doesn't work just tell you always tell her you always planned to get her a bike.

    Give her the bike and be happy she hasn't divorced/pummeled/disowned you for your participation in this wretched hobby!

    Happy wife = happy life.

    I'm not married but that sounds like very good advice!

    I've been married over 20 years and I too think it's good advice.
    Praise without end for the go ahead zeal
    Of whoever it was invented the wheel;
    But never a word for the poor soul's sake
    That thought ahead, and invented the brake
