Question In your experience, what was a surprisingly good quality watch for ~$600 (used)?

So, I'm looking to find in everyones experience...
Have you bought a watch that was much less expensive then you usually buy and you were extrememly surprised at the good quality (build, fit/finish)...Feel of being substantial and worth alot more or equal to what you have paid for much higher cost/quality watches?
I've sold off my entire collection, except my Blackbird, and I'm looking to spend around $600 (used), but still looking for something substantial in quality.
~43 mm, chrono/non chrono, and more tool/sport like...
Something Breitling Blackbird -Like in style.
Anything in your experience that you found like this? Underrated or not a popular brand that was very decent for the price?
As an example, I would say a Hamilton X-Wind that sells second hand for around $500-$600 with a 7750 ETA has a great fit/finish for the money. It's just a bit larger then I'm looking for. But you get the idea.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

I thought you were asking about the fit finish and quality of a 600$ second hand. Like minute hand, hour hand....second hand.

Cheers to WUS for bringing me to a point where I wasn't surprised or shocked to see that title.

If your willing to go a little higher, my fortis b42 flieger was under 900 used. Casing is excellent - feels "substantial" for lack of a better word.

Some Orises used are really good, the Seiko SARB new is excellent, might be worth checking out Mido. Orient star is really good for the money.

So true, so true! This post made me really smile

To the OP, there are simply a multitude of quality watches available in that price range, particularly when looking used. Heck, you can buy most models of Hamilton at or near that price when going gray market, let alone used. Oris, Hamilton, Seiko, Mido, certain Raymond Weil models, what else... VSA has some really sharp pieces now. You can get some TAG Heuer F1 models in that price range if you like quartz. Christopher Ward is worth a look. Seriously, the list could go on endlessly...

Tissot Visodate is excellent value for $600 used/almost new,,but its neither 43mm nor tool like.

Check Seiko - maybe the alpinist?

I recently picked up a Boschett Cave Dweller II for $450, used. I'm amazed at the build quality for that price.

+1 on this quote. Take a look at the TT1 Diver, it is hefty and very well made. I got mine for $500 used, but around $600 used is more realistic. Good luck!
