    1920's identification help please

    I'm wondering if anyone can help identify my friends vintage omega. Any help with movement, year, name etc. Much apreciated

    Your friend's watch dates from the 1930's. Very common style, but having the retailer's name and location on the dial is unusual.

    Movement should be a cal. 26,5 SOB. This would be engraved underneath the balance wheel on the movement. I have a similar watch, here's a picture of the movement.

    Hi Gatorcpa, thanks for the info and picture of the movement. A Great help!

    Hopefully my friend will do the right thing and get it serviced, get a new strap and give it some wrist time! It's still working but running a little fast.

    Was there a name for this particular model?

    The movement information is brilliant, lots of information on here about it.

    Not that I know of. Omega didn't really use names back then except for a few special models.

    Omega had case reference numbers, but these were not engraved on the cases in the 1930's and were for internal use only.
