This type of thing you should really make your decision based on gut feelings.

I'd buy whichever caught my fancy...between these two it'd be the speedy. It's plenty tool for everyday wear, you can get caught in a downpour and it won't affect the watch, I wouldn't take it swimming though

    The Speedmaster without question.

    Re: ADVICE: Seamaster vs. Moonwatch

A couple of things to note (I own both the Seamaster and Speedmaster referenced in the OP):

    • The Seamaster feels a good bit heavier than the Speedmaster on the wrist
    • The Speedmaster will come with extra goodies (if you're getting it new) such as a nato strap, springbar tool, and loupe
    • The Seamaster has half-links and no micro-adjust clasp out of the box
    • The Speedmaster has no half-links but a spring pin micro-adjust clasp out of the box
    • Both the Seamaster and Speedmaster can be fitted with Omega micro-adjust ratcheting clasps, but the Speedmaster needs different clasp attaching links, so it'll end up costing more if you want to go that route
    • The Seamaster is an automatic, while the Speedmaster is manual wind
    • The Seamaster has hacking seconds, while the Speedmaster does not
    • The Seamaster could be considered more rugged than the Speedmaster Hesalite, as the Seamaster has a ceramic bezel (aluminum on the Speedmaster) and sapphire crystal
    • The Speedmaster chronograph function can be finicky (search for Speedmaster issues/problems) so that may be a factor in your decision

With all that said, I side with many of the previous posts - go with your gut. I went with the Seamaster first, and I don't regret it at all. I'd still be completely satisfied with the Seamaster being my only Omega.

Speedy because you already have two divers. Just get the hasalite version, it's an amazing watch!

Go with what you like best and would wear more plain and simple. Is your Breitling also black? IF so then another blue diver would add some nice variety. Look at both for a while, try them on and decide what you like better. Both are great watches.

The OP asked if I had the same choice! ;)
But it should also say which watch I regard more highly.

    Re: ADVICE: Seamaster vs. Moonwatch

I'd go for the Speedy (hesalite) but both are fine watches. I own a speedy and my dad owns a Seamaster. We have both had years of enjoyment out of them.
