    another fake Planet Ocean large

Traffic on the 10 Freeway in LA was the usual Friday afternoon nightmare, so I got off and stopped at a Starbucks in a Chinese neighborhood, and sat inside, drinking a big, cold, coffee drink, and figured, "Hey I'll just finish that report for my boss, here, email it to him, then drive home. This big, hairy dude sits down outside the plate glass window with his wife/girlfriend/sister (I have no idea). I'm wearing my Doxa 600T Pro, and he's wearing a PO large with an orange bezel just like mine (which is at home, in the drawer). I start checking it out, and he immediately notices. He starts folding his arms over his chest in an unnatural pose, so that his right arm covers his left wrist. For the next 15 minutes, he puts in a supreme effort to keep me from looking at his watch. Too late: it looked fake. I can't put my finger on it, but it wasn't right for either a 2500 series or an 8500.
That makes it 2 to 1. I have seen more knock-offs of my watch, than real ones. No wonder that dude that I scanned at the VA Hospital assumed mine was a fake...

Seems really odd that you would stare at somebody's wrist for 15 minutes. Maybe he thought to himself, "there is a psycho looking at my wrist, better cover it up."

A quick glance is ok. Staring is rude. I hope OP stop this kind of act.

And you should really consider yourself lucky, because if I was out somewhere and I found you staring at my Omega, I would probably approach you and punch you in the face.

Seriously, who appointed you judge of what Planet Ocean is real or not?

Let's not get that work up! Violence will not resolve problem. But seriously OP is too much. I too hate people staring at me or anybody , be it anything.
Usually low EQ people will do that.

Agreed, I am not a violent man. Until I need to be. Like if someone is eyeing down my Omega for 15 minutes.

He was originally a wrist model, modeling watches for big companies, that went into the witness protection program, he was afraid you found his secret identity while you were staring at his wrist for some 15min. and he made his best effort to conceal his "features"

I'm with Hendry on this one, if I saw you staring at my hand for more than 5mins, either beat you at any sudden movements towards me and my watch or I'd sue you for sexual harassment. :S

Seriously, OP is getting .... for showing an interest in watches? I thought this was a watch forum? I check out other people's watches all the time. Obviously I try to be subtle. If someone is checking out mine and they also have a nice watch on I just assume they are a fellow watch enthusiast.

Back to the fake PO topic, I've not seen a single PO - real or fake on my travels. I tend to forget that the only reason why I expect to see loads on my way to work is because everyone seems to have them on the forums

I dont think we can give too much flak here, he is just checking out a watch. If anything its just a reminder to perhaps be subtle and sympathetic. No one wants a third eye. I recently met a guy on a fishing trip and noticed he had a nice SMP on his wrist. We exchanged cards and chatted business. When I said 'nice watch by the way' he said 'this thing, its a cheap knock off from Bali' I didnt feel stupid just cheated bizarrly. He could eaisly have afforded the real thing. Maybe he kept the fake for play and the real for special occasions
