First modern Omega to get 2254.50 or Co-axial James bond 300m

I'm trying to decide here which direction to go. I love Omegas, they are clean and not as cluttered compared to your typical Breitling. I already own an 70s dress watch Omega that I like but it is not water proof at all, like you better be careful washing your hands.

I'm kind of all over the map right now, but I'm looking at the Seamaster line, I like the look of the Planet Ocean the hands look better to me but I worry about the thickness and bulk in daily wear.

Right now for my first modern Omega I'm trying to decide between a 2254.50 and a local watch that is a Co-axial James Bond here https://tulsa.craigslist.org/jwl/d/m...245542670.html

Overall I prefer the looks of the 2254.5, I like the belt since it does not have the basket weave and the hands look better, but it is local and I can put my hands on it so to speak.

Any help or opinions would be appreciated

    Thanks

I love the 2254.50 to the point I built one for myself using a bond coax as the base. I have the black bezel so I can flip the look from time to time.

Yep, nice watch I like the classic styling of it. That is where I'm tending to go, for going the co-axial is nice but it is not doing it for me as much.

go for the one you would feel happier on the wrist. both are easy to find from trusted sellers...

i like the 2254 - don't own one, but it's got nice long hands to look at.

Yeah, they are both great watches the co-axial is nice. My thing is I also like to get a good deal, I'm looking at a couple of 2254's right now and see what they end up going for but if that does not pan out I will go for the local watch.

I have been looking at all the 2254 I can find and have never seen a blue one, but you can replace the bezel insert with a blue one if you want.

Its sibling is the 2255.80 "electric blue." Although identical to the 2254.50 except for the bezel and dial, it has a much different character.
