I really miss the days when there would be a shuttle launch and all the closet X-33 owners would come out from under the rocks and show off their X-33's.
Shuttle gone...but X-33's not forgotten.

"Now that's not a watch..This is a watch."
Well, now we have SpaceX company, the Chinese have sent up their first female astronaut....so, I am sure the X-33s will be in use for a long time, though we don't see the X-33s much nowadays. Nothing on the Z-33 either....oh well...I'm keeping both my gen1 and gen2s!

The main issue with the Z is the price, no one would drop 5k (6 if we factor in taxes here in Canada), people would rather buy the PO or something similar in that range, there are much better looking Omegas in it's price range.
They'll probobly end up re-launching the X-33 with a new movement like a homage or something if they can't sell enough Zs, honestly the Z can't compare to the X, the X is a much better looking watch, if they updated it to resemble something from Minority Report with the flashy screen I think it would of been pretty great :D

Love my X-33!
I like mine even more now that it's back from service with a new Cal. 1666D Thermo-compensated movement:

As far as I'm concerned, the X-33 is still cool! My buddy zdane (Nick) has one and I like it. Cheers, Bill P.
I wear my X-33 every time I fly (PPL student) and if you check the NASA picture archives, so do pretty much all of the ISS astronauts!
