Just got my first SMP (Pics below)

I don't post very often on WUS, but after reading a quite a few threads on this Omega sub-forum it looks like you have a nice community here. So thought I'd post this as a mini introduction.

I was trying to get my hands on a black SMP quartz a couple of weeks ago and tried some forum members, then ebay, but kept missing out.

Then went on ebay on Saturday and one just got listed. Contacted the seller for some more photos, agreed a (nice) price, and did the deal off ebay.

I then crapped myself for 5 days praying I hadn't been shafted. Then on Thursday it arrived in mint condition Literally, couldn't find 1 scratch on the head through a 10x loupe. There are a couple of tiny scratches on the bracelet, but pretty much unnoticeable. The clasp is pretty scratched up, but I'm not at all fussed about that, as all of the clasps on my watches end up scratched within a few weeks.

Not only is this my first SMP, but it's also my first quartz since I was about 12. I completely forgot how useful a quartz watch is when catching public transport, going to work and more importantly leaving work etc.

I'm not going to give it a review as there are so many already, as well as the many threads it crops up in.
But the quality is superb, and I'm really enjoying wearing it.

I already own a vintage Constellation, so theoretically could be a 2 watch guy I reckon. Lol that's obviously that's not going to happen, but for now very happy with my latest purchase and can see why the SMP gets such high praise in general.

    Cheers,
    Tris

My photography skills are non-existent. In fact, I don't even own a camera, but here are some pics with my phone that I took this morning.

With Connie...and cat (too curious to leave me in peace for 5 minutes)

Fits your wrist perfectly! That old Connie looks awesome - what is the reference # on that?
